Full of water, full of sweet, Juicy, messy, treat to eat. Dessert of summer, picnic jewel, Ruby red, can you guess? Oh yes, it’s watermelon. To beat the heat, Watermelon Palooza was organised for the children of Sr. KG. They enjoyed eating watermelon for their snack break and preserved the seeds. These seeds were washed and dried for two days in the sun. Then the seeds were planted for the next season. This hands-on activity helps children in exploring the life cycle of a plant. It also develops sensory skills, observation and an appreciation for nature. Moreover, it was a good nourishment for their body.
